VEGAS BABY! We just got back from visiting Grandma and Grandpa in Las Vegas. It was certainly a stressful trip for all. David did amazingly well on the plane to and from. Very little drama at all. Most of the action happened at Grandma's house where Little D was generally not a happy camper. The adjustment to the new surroundings were a little too much for him to handle. I think he did enjoy some aspects of the visit. Especially the aquarium at Mandalay Bay (which is a total rip off but still worth the 30 minutes or so of distraction for David. Hopefully, he'll be a little more adaptable the next time we visit. Check out the new photos!

Haven't posted in 4 months!

Well, its July and I have been neglecting this blog. But, I have to admit, it has been quite busy here since the last posting. DL had his first birthday and it was great. He's turning into a little toddler now and it is getting harder and harder to keep up with him. He's not walking yet but he has taken a few steps. As you can see, he has a new friend and he can even say his name. He also know "Um-ma, Ap-pa, Mong-mong, Car, Mool, Ball and Football (which comes out as "poot-ba")." Both Mary and I have been busy at work too so there are the excuses. We are planning our first trip with Little D at the end of the month to visit his grandparents in Vegas. I'll be sure to let you know how that goes. Anyway, it seems the scrolling photos to the right are about 3 months behind but when you click on them, there are updated photos all the way through June. There are a few really good ones. Also, you may now "follow" this post by clicking the link at the very bottom of the page so you can be updated on new posts. Thanks and hope to see you soon.

One Year!

Little David had a great first birthday. Mom, Dad, Mary's Mom and Dad, Jim, Anita, Justin and Jeremy were all there for the week. David got lots of presents but was completely unhappy during most of the ceremony. Especially when his photos were being taken. Overall, it went very well and we were all glad Little D got to see all his family members.
He unfortunately had the Rotavirus shortly after his birthday and was miserable for a week. Equally asn unfortunate was that Mary, her Mom and myself all got it too. Trust me when I say, you do not want this. Anyway, he's better now and gaining back the weight he lost from it.
He's also very active now. Crawling around everywhere. Pulls himself up to stand though he's not really cruising much yet. Seems like he's going to take his time before he starts walking. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and gifts. Please check out his new photos.

11 Months old

So Little D is 11 months old. We are preparing for his first birthday which is really unbelievable. Could have been the fastest year ever. He is really turning into a little boy. January was pretty uneventful though he was having a little trouble putting on weight for a little while. May have been a little residual from the weening process but he seems to be getting better now though he's still a little underweight. He is quite tall for his age which is an anomaly I can't explain and his head is huge. He's finally starting to crawl and seems to want to stand more and more so I'm sure he'll be running all over the place before we know it. It is incredible how he's grown. Hope you all can meet him soon.

Its been a while since I updated this page but David Lucas has officially had his first Christmas and I think he enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we were also trying to ween him off breast milk at the same time so he was pretty cranky too. But, he got lots of presents. Thanks to all for his gifts. He plays with everything he got. Its hard to believe he's 10 months old and we have to starting thinking about his first birthday party. We're hoping Mom, Dad, Anita, Jeremy, Jim and Justin can all make it down for that. It would be a hoot. Anyway, he's growing, not crawling but rolling around alot. He can pull himself up to standing but is pretty wobbly when he stands at this point. He's a very picky eater. Right now, he loves soy formula and plain yogurt. He's totally sick of rice cereal and is on a baby food strike. Hopefully, its just a phase. Happy New Year and check out December's pics.

Still not sleeping

David is growing FAST! He is 8 months old now and I have no idea where the time went. His head is massive and he's pretty tall too. He's sitting up great but doesn't crawl yet though he does roll around alot. We were considering taking him to visit his grandparents in Vegas but I don't think he's ready for air travel yet. He's too fidgety when he's forced to sit still. In fact, don't think he could sit still for 20 minutes let alone a couple of hours on a plane. Anyway, he had his first Halloween and we got him a costume as a dinosaur. Very cute. Went to my boss's party and he seemed to enjoy it. Otherwise, another month of watching him grow and hit milestones. Hopefully the sleeping milestone is coming up soon! Check out the photos.

David's 7th month has been great. He's getting big and sits up pretty steady now. Though he still occasionally falls over. He's also starting to make motions like he wants to crawl. Won't be long now till we're chasing him all over the house. Otherwise, no major events. He still doesn't sleep more than a few hours at a time so Mary is definitely feeling the pain from that. But, he's healthy and happy so we can't complain too much! Please check out the pictures.
